6,614 photos in 3:33 minutes

I don't know how I missed this video when it first posted last month, but I just saw it and I thought it was fun to look back at the Most Stylish Bostonian photo shoot!

If you're looking for me, be patient.  I'm not on until the almost-end (2:53 to be exact), I guess they saved the best for almost-last ;-)

Enjoy!

2010 Winter Must Haves

It's just over 2 weeks until Christmas, and it's time for everyone to get their last-minute-shop ON!  I am a full believer in "it's better to give, than to receive" which is a valuable lesson for all; however, we also have to remember to splurge on ourselves once in a while.
Keep that healthy balance ;-)

One for you, one for me...

That may be a tough thing for your wallet to swallow, especially during the holiday season.  Cue the Wrentham Village Premium Outlets.  You can find almost anything your little hearts desire; from premium designer denim at True Religion Brand Jeans to digital cameras from Sony to basic tees at American Apparel to dutch ovens and cast iron skillets from Williams-Sonoma.

In my recent trip there, I was able to find all
MY WINTER 2010 MUST-HAVES
that I think every girl needs (at least one of, if not all of these items)
in their closets!!!

1.) The Camel Coat
Saks Off 5th
This style from DKNY is classic and elegant.

2.) Chunky Sweaters
Saks Off 5th
I love the gray hues and fringe detail on these EVEN sweaters.

3.) Leather Jacket
Saks Off 5th
Why go with a black leather jacket, when you can get this 5/48 olive green lined with sherpa?

4.) Something shiny aka sequins
Saks Off 5th
I'll take all 3 of these sequined Robert Rodriguez pieces please.  Thanx.

5.) Over-sized sunglasses
Saks Off 5th
From David Yurman, Gucci, Bulgari, Dior, Kate Spade, Fendi, Miu Miu and Marc Jacobs (I could keep going, but I won't) these shades are 100% style, at a fraction of the price!  Also, you won't feel as bad when you drop them or accidentally sit on them...

6.) Cape
Saks Off 5th
A cape.  I know what you're thinking.  They're not aaall like the super hero capes everyone seems to associate them with.  Here's a great example from DKNY; you can't go wrong with this double breasted  hooded camel cape with leather piping!  Sooo adorable!

7.) Boots, from ankle to over-the-knee
Saks Off 5th
I thought these styles from 5/48 were fun.  It's like you're wearing leggings over pumps, which I love doing anyway, so this takes away that one extra step when putting yourself together!
These are the perfect accessory for the rocker chic gal, they're like the Alice in Wonderland of Mary Janes.  Pair with some jeggings or fun tights, and you're good to go!

8.) Animal print: leopard (my personal fav)
Aldo
This infinity style scarf is a simple way to spice up any outfit.
I'd pair it with that green bomber jacket from Off 5th, love the play on color and texture.

9.) Faux fur jackets
Juicy couture
I love how this one has a hoodie, it keeps this look casual but playful.

10.) Top it off with a hat
Barneys NY
Try this flapper style to add a sense of whimsy to your outfit.
It would look so chic with the Robert Rodriguez sequin blazer and black skinny jeans.

bucket with studs and braids! oh my!

I love one of a kind pieces,
but I just hate not having them in my possession.
Saw this picture of Anja from Paris, and her easy laid back style was impressive because it still seemed well thought out.  I love the classic off-white with black, you can't go wrong with that combination (well, I guess it depends on whose hands you're leaving that in).

I am beyond obsessed with that bucket style bag, it's oversized studs, and braided handle.  I mean, it looks like it was meant to be one with her outfit.  If anyone has any clue where it's from, feel free to send me one!  Haha!  If not, at least just tell me where it's from!

Leighton & Pierre

Love this photo of Leighton Meister.  Here she is in Madrid, Spain promoting Herbal Essences.

She looks so elegant and chic in her black dress from Versus, and I love how she paired it with these funky Pierre Hardy shoes.

It's so easy to spice up any little black dress you have,
just choose your accessories wisely ladies!

grey loves pink

One of my favorite color combos: grey and pink.
It's the perfect fusion of rugged meets delicate.
Check out Iris pairing her flirty dress from H&M with a structured blazer.  Also, somewhat obsessed with her feather clutch.

Marc does drag

Oh Marc Jacobs.  How do I love thee?  Let me count the ways.

Reason #5, 6, 7 why I love this man.
Great gams.
Comfortable in his own skin.
Doesn't give a F.

I love gooooooold

On a more serious note.  I doubt that Grazia Mag was inspired by that scene, but looking at this spread, one can never know.

Here we have Terese Pagh sporting an eclectic wardrobe filled with lace, metallics, and knits. Oh my!

Braidy bunch

If I ever had the patience, I would love to try this.  Too bad I don't know how to french braid, and I chopped off all my hair.  Maybe next year.

Russian Knits

That New England chill just keeps getting chillier as we go deeper into November.  This spread on uber-cozy knitwear, helped me think warmer thoughts.

Chanel Le Vernis Riva

So I am a huge fan of the the dark nail polish trend.  Whether it's in or out, I don't really care.  I always have a bottle of "Lincoln Park After Dark" by OPI on hand at all times.

And then there was Riva, Chanel's latest lacquer creation.  That baby blue hue reminds me of the icy frost that's on everybody's windshields each morning; but takes me away to the crystal clear ocean along the 7 mile beach in the Cayman Islands.  Tan or no tan, this shade will look superb on any skin tone.
Get yours today, if you can.  It's the new accessory that everyone wants, but no one can have.  Apparently it debuts this December, but it's already sold out.  At $39 a bottle, it's definitely an investment piece to add in your nail polish collection.

It's up to you whether you think it's worth it, or not.
